More about the VR16 walk-in kiosk:
The VR16 is the largest walk-in in the range — a 2000mm x 2000mm x 2000mm GRP kiosk giving close to 1850mm x 1850mm of internal floor space, effectively a compact GRP plant room. Wide 1750mm x 1750mm double doors give full access, and an 18mm surface-treated ply backboard is fitted as standard over an insulating ply-core GRP wall with a fire-retardant resin internal finish.
What is the VR16 walk-in used for?
With a full two-metre-square footprint, the VR16 works as a package substation or switchroom, a pumping-station or water-treatment building, or a gas AGI control room — anywhere you need a weatherproof, walk-in housing for sizeable plant. Non-conductive GRP makes it a safe shell for high-value utility equipment.
How secure and weatherproof is it?
Four stainless steel hinges, two shoot bolts, a Yale-type lock and a compression seal come as standard on the double doors, and the GRP shell stands up to years of exposure with minimal upkeep.
Is there a ready-wired version?
Yes — the VR16-E electrical walk-in comes with a distribution board, RCD socket, lighting and heating already fitted.
What colours does the VR16 come in?
Green (BS 14-C-39) or grey as standard — British Standard references, not RAL — with any custom colour to a BS or RAL reference on request. See our guides to British Standard colours and RAL colours.
Does the VR16 come in other sizes?
The VR16 is 2000x2000x2000mm (external). See the full walk-in range, or our floor-standing enclosures for smaller installations.
