The VR16-E is the ready-wired version of our largest walk-in — a full 2000mm x 2000mm x 2000mm GRP enclosure, effectively a pre-powered plant room, supplied with a 6-way three-phase distribution board, a twin socket with RCD, a 1600mm twin T8 light with switch, and a 2ft tubular heater with guard and thermostat already installed. Close to 1850mm x 1850mm of internal floor space, wide 1750mm x 1750mm double doors and an 18mm ply backboard come as standard.
What makes the VR16-E a complete solution?
It combines the range’s biggest walk-in footprint with a factory-fitted electrical package — distribution board, RCD socket, lighting and thermostatic heating — so a sizeable installation arrives weatherproof, lit, heated and ready to connect.
What is the VR16-E used for?
The 2-metre-square floor suits package substations and switchrooms, pumping-station and water-treatment buildings, EV-charging plant rooms and gas AGI control rooms that need a powered, walk-in GRP housing from day one.
Is it weatherproof and safe?
Yes — non-conductive, non-corrosive GRP with a compression-sealed door, four stainless steel hinges, two shoot bolts and a Yale-type lock, with frost protection from the built-in heater and thermostat.
What colours does the VR16-E come in?
Green (BS 14-C-39) or grey as standard — British Standard references, not RAL — with any custom colour to a BS or RAL reference on request. See our guides to British Standard colours and RAL colours.
Does the VR16-E come in other sizes?
