The VR14 is a walk-in GRP enclosure measuring 2000mm wide, 1000mm deep and 2000mm high, with around 1850mm x 850mm of internal floor area at full height — genuine room to step inside and work. Wide 1750mm x 1750mm double doors give full access, and an 18mm surface-treated ply backboard is fitted as standard, over an insulating ply-core GRP wall with a fire-retardant resin internal finish.
What is the VR14 walk-in used for?
The extra depth makes the VR14 a popular housing for packaged water booster sets and pumping-station plant, gas governor and AGI equipment, and electrical distribution or control rooms where an operator needs to work inside. Being non-conductive and watertight, GRP suits wet water-industry duties as well as power.
How secure and weatherproof is it?
Four stainless steel hinges, two shoot bolts, a Yale-type lock and a compression seal come as standard on the double doors, and GRP shrugs off UV, rain and frost with little maintenance.
Is there a ready-wired version?
Yes — the VR14-E electrical walk-in ships with a distribution board, socket, lighting and heating already fitted.
What colours does the VR14 come in?
