The ET16 is the largest unit in our single-skin GRP walk-in range — a full 2000mm x 2000mm x 2000mm cube, with full-height lockable double doors and an 18mm surface-treated ply backboard as standard. At two metres deep it is effectively a small GRP building, with floor space to lay out and circulate around a substantial amount of plant.
What is the ET16 walk-in used for?
The ET16 works as a packaged plant room, control room or equipment building — multiple switchgear or distribution panels, generator and genset housings, packaged pumping or treatment plant, and process control that needs both equipment space and room to work. It is the go-to single-skin housing where a kiosk has been outgrown but a bespoke building isn’t yet warranted.
How is the ET16 built?
Single-skin GRP keeps a unit this size as light as possible to transport and lift into place while staying weatherproof, non-conductive and non-corroding, with a fire-retardant resin internal finish. Where the walls must carry heavy internal fit-out or the site is higher-spec, the plywood-core ET20 matches this footprint.
How is the ET16 delivered and secured?
It is supplied as a single unit, so forklift or Hiab off-loading is required, and access for a crane-arm vehicle should be confirmed. The double doors take a choice of locking with stainless steel fixings and a weather seal.
Is the ET16 built to last outdoors?
Yes — glass-reinforced polyester won’t corrode, rot or break down in UV, so the ET16 gives decades of low-maintenance service on exposed sites, with no scrap value to attract theft.
What colours does the ET16 come in?
