More about the VR3 GRP kiosk:
The VR3 is a compact single door floor-standing GRP kiosk measuring 660mm wide, 400mm deep and 1210mm high, with a tall 525mm x 1015mm door opening and an 18mm surface-treated ply backboard fitted as standard. It is moulded in GRP with a durable gel-coat exterior and a fire-retardant resin internal finish, and bolts down to a prepared base.
What is the VR3 kiosk used for?
Its slim footprint and full-height door make the VR3 a popular housing for water-industry control gear — booster-set and pumping-station controls, flow metering and telemetry — as well as small electrical distribution, gas metering and roadside instrumentation. As a non-conductive GRP kiosk it removes any touch-voltage risk in public areas.
How secure is the VR3?
The single door is fitted with two stainless steel hinges, a Yale-type lock and a compression seal as standard, keeping the kiosk weather-tight and secure on a footway or compound.
Will it last outdoors?
GRP doesn’t rust, rot or corrode and stands up to UV, rain and frost with very little maintenance, which is why GRP kiosks are a standard choice across the water, gas and power networks.
What colours does the VR3 come in?
Green (BS 14-C-39) or grey as standard — British Standard references, not RAL — with any custom colour to a BS or RAL reference on request. See our guides to British Standard colours and RAL colours.
