More about the VR12 GRP cabinet:
The VR12 is one of the largest cabinets in the floor-standing range at 2000mm wide, 800mm deep and 1600mm high, with a wide 1730mm x 1320mm door opening and a 1780mm x 1220mm 18mm ply backboard fitted as standard — a serious housing for major installations.
What is the VR12 cabinet used for?
The VR12’s width and depth suit major electrical distribution and DNO work — switchgear, metering, package substations and transformer auxiliaries — plus large water and gas control plant. Non-conductive GRP makes it a safe, low-maintenance housing for high-value utility equipment.
How secure is the VR12?
Four stainless steel hinges, two shoot bolts, a Yale-type lock and a compression seal come as standard on the twin doors.
How is the VR12 fixed down?
It is designed to be bolted to a prepared concrete base, with a recommended base-fixing detail shown on the spec drawing.
What colours does the VR12 come in?
Green (BS 14-C-39) or grey as standard — British Standard references, not RAL — with any custom colour to a BS or RAL reference on request. See our guides to British Standard colours and RAL colours.
