More about the ET0 GRP Enclosure:
The ET0 GRP enclosure is a small but sturdy electrical cabinet with many applications. Sized at 340mm width, 20mm depth and 860mm height, it has many use cases and is designed to be floor mounted (although can be adapted for wall mounting). The walls and roof are constructed of single skin GRP, giving a maximum ‘U’ value of 3.0W/m2. An encapsulated 18mm plywood backboard is fitted as standard for mounting your electrical equipment.
Is the enclosure fire resistant?
Yes! The enclosure’s wall construction has been designed and tested to British Standard 476 (BS476), Part 22. This means it exceeded a half hour fire rating. We achieve this by using a fire retardant resin internally, providing self-extinguishing laminates to BS476 standard Part 7, Class 2 (surface spread of flames).
Is it a waterproof cabinet?
The ET0 GRP enclosure is rated to IP55 as standard. That will be fine on the roadside, and offer your electrical equipment protection from rain. If you need even more protection, we can upgrade the enclosure to IP65 for an additional charge. Need to know what IP rating you need?
How quickly can you deliver a ET0 GRP Enclosure to me?
We carry some stock of all our enclosures, and can often offer next day delivery. However stock levels can change daily, especially during busy periods of the year. It is always best to order as far in advance a possible for your electrical installation project.
Do they only come in green?
As standard the ET0 GRP enclosure comes in either green (RAL 14-C-39) or Grey (RAL 10-A-07) (more on RAL colours). However with a little advanced notice, we can produce enclosures in any colour you specify!
Does the ET0 GRP enclosure come in other sizes?
The ET0 enclosure is 340x200x860mm, and is a single door enclosure. However, we offer many more roadside enclosures. To find the one which is right for you, take a look at our single door ET range of enclosures, or the larger double door outside cabinet range.
Is this a water standpipe enclosure?
Yes, the ET0 is certainly frequently used to house water standpipes. However its use cases are wide reaching, and it can accomodate both electrical and gas installations also.
